Tatakau Shisho: The Book of Bantorra

In a world where dead people turn into books and are stored in the Bantorra Library where anyone who reads a book can learn their past, Bantorra Library is maintained by Armed Librarians who wield psychic powers and their enemy is a religious society known as Sindeki Kyoudan. (source: myanimelist.net)

At first I was having a hard time following the concept of dead people soul turn to stone.. err books. They kept saying books and I was expecting a book and I didn't see any, I only see a square kind of stone with rough edges. They didn't actually explain what is this book looks like in details at first, you have to realize it that the stone they were holding while saying 'book' is actually the book which this anime refers to.

They should use names like soul stone or stone book or.. huh, I don't know. Plot-wise, I don't like the way they're making each character dies. Some, we don't even have a chance to get to know them and they were introduced and dead in just one episode, not forgetting the power they have  were unique and interesting but you can't see anymore of it because they.. you know, died. I was even frustrated when some of the characters are my favourite. Why the hell they're making it like that?

At the end, you'll be saying "oh, that's why they made half the characters dead." Too bad, the answer didn't give me any satisfaction, instead I felt like the story got hole, like they're pushing it all at the end and was rushing because it's the end. I felt it didn't do the story any justice.

I enjoy it still, but it could have been better. way better.
